2025-26 Accomplishments

What a year! Because of the financial investment and volunteer work of SVHS parents as well as support from local businesses, SVHS Parent Club expanded existing events for students including Falcon Fest and CAASPP testing support. We also implemented a new scholarship with 25th anniversary funds and partnered with Falcon Club to elevate the Homecoming Dance. SVHS Parent Club continued to hold parent-led career workshops, hosted teacher/staff appreciation luncheons, celebrated Founders' Day and provided snacks for students during finals. Please see below for more highlights of our 2025-26 accomplishments.

Homecoming Dance

For the first time, SVHS Parent Club and Falcon Club led the Homecoming Dance. A record 332 students and their guests attended this event with amazing music, incredible decorations, outstanding food, a great photo booth and lots of fun.

Falcon Fest 2026

Falcon Fest included six giant inflatables, carnival games, a sundae bar, lawn games, a candy bar, photo booth and incredible prizes for our students on May 1st. This year was our second Falcon Fest.

Finals Snacks

Parent Club provides snacks for each tutorial class to help fuel student success during this stressful time. Volunteers put together 27 bags of (mostly) healthy snacks which are available to students during tutorial.

Teacher & Staff Recognition

SVHS Parent Club led eight teacher and staff appreciation luncheons including a catered holiday lunch where each employee received a Cruise Coffee gift card. We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with a taco truck for all employees and recognized staff during Classified Staff Appreciation Week, Counselor Appreciation & Administrative Professionals Day.

Additional 2025-26 SVHS Parent Club Accomplishments

  • Exceeded total direct donation goal of $35K with an increase of 8.7% from 24-25

  • Increased number of direct donation donors by 11.7%

  • Met direct donation goal five months earlier than 24-25 through participation in the first ever Give Where You Live campaign with SVEF and BKEC

  • Distributed SVHS class schedule magnets at SOAR Day

  • Participated in Back to School Night with bake sale, table and speaker

  • Held eight teacher/staff appreciation luncheons including catered holiday luncheon with Cruise Coffee gift cards for each employee and taco truck in May

  • Celebrated SVHS' 26th birthday with cupcakes for students on September 8th

  • Implemented five parent-led career workshops for students with Kianti's pizza

  • Funded Respect Week speaker

  • Met with Student Government class for input on Homecoming dance & Falcon Fest

  • Planned and implemented an elevated Homecoming dance in collaboration with Falcon Club attended by 332 students and guests

  • Supported Thriller performances at SVMS and the SC Wharf

  • Listed donors on website for first time and provided acknowledgement letters

  • Raised $1300 during Giving Day for SVHS performing arts

  • Purchased monthly snacks/beverages for teacher/staff lounge (August-May)

  •  Provided snacks for students during finals week and hot chocolate for first day of spring term

  • Shared cost with Falcon Club for 240 students to attend girls' playoff basketball game

  • Expanded CAASPP testing support (pre-testing activities, breakfast, decs and prizes)

  • Assisted with prom clothing drive and giveaway

  • Hosted a comedy night at The Landing as a fundraiser

  • Served as Falcon sponsor for the SV Wellness Walk

  • Celebrated Administrative Professionals Day, Counselor Appreciation Day & Classified Staff Recognition Week

  • Implemented adopt-a-teacher program during Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Launched SVHS Impact Scholarship and received contribution from the Lynn Beebe College Scholarship to increase endowment to $35K

  • Added Historian position to SVHS Parent Club Board

  • Revised bylaws (not the most exciting but very important!)
